The US president Barack Obama address the memorial service in Soweto. President Barack Obama talked about Nelson Mandela's "heroic " life being a south African anti - apartheid fighter. Obama compared Mandela's actions to those of Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King. Nelson Mandela was truly loved by the people of South Africa and around the world. Foreign dignitaries representing more than 100 countries joined South Africans in mourning Nelson Mandela.
